Hey there it's a special breaking news edition of the football guys daily update. I'm

Bob Harris. According to multiple reports, the Carolina Panthers are traded wide

receiver Deontae Johnson to the Baltimore Ravens. The deal includes a pick swap with Baltimore giving

up a fifth round pick in exchange for Johnson and a Carolina sixth round pick.

The athletics Jeff Reebak notes the Panthers are also paying down some of

Johnson's salary about three million worth, so the Ravens

will owe him about $625K for the rest of the year.

It's the second time Johnson has been traded this year.

The Panthers acquired him from the Pittsburgh Steeler, the Ravens AFC North north rival before the season. During his time in Pittsburgh Johnson started 67

games catching 391 passes for 4 363 yards and 25 touchouts. In seven games this season he's got 30 passes for

357 yards and three touchdowns working with Bryce Young and Andy Dalton as

his quarterbacks. Panthers held Johnson out of Sunday's game against the

Denver Broncos amid the trade interest in the wide receiver.

While Fantasy managers invested in Johnson were hoping for a trade, Baltimore likely

wouldn't been on the list of desired destinations.

As S.I.com's Jason Chandl pointed out, Johnson's averaged just 6.8 yards per target over six NFL seasons.
