Summary

Ex-Manchester United striker turned television presenter, Dion Dublin is the first UTD Podcast guest of 2022.

Dion told us the story of how Sir Alex 'wowed' him in transfer negotiations, with what turned out to be the same tactic the boss used on our very own Maysie!

He also recalled how the likes of Bryan Robson would test him in training to make sure he was up to the Manchester United standard, and how he missed the plane to Southampton ahead of what would be his first start for the club, and subsequently his first goal.

Dion also opened up on his struggles with injuries - particularly his untimely leg break early on in his United career, and the horror injury to his neck while playing for Aston Villa.

Sam, Helen and Maysie also read out your emails at the end of the episode. If you'd like to write to the only official Manchester United Podcast then e-mail utdpodcast@manutd.co.uk

If you'd like to listen through our back-catalogue, the best place to do that is over on the Manchester United App, where you can listen to and watch all of our episodes in full for free!

We'd also love it if you could leave us a rating and review wherever you listen to your podcasts.
