That's correct. He co-created the ABC series Lost, which is regularly listed among the greatest TV shows of all time.

He's also written installments of the Alien and Star Trek movie franchises. But these days, he is the showrunner of HBO's The Leftovers,

which he created, along with Tom Perada, the author of the novel on which it is based.

That's a pretty impressive resume.
