Are they jodders? No they're leggings. I can't say I'm always teased about how I say leggings. Do you say leggings? Yes. Yeah, Farley does those.

So do you feel refreshed after our break Dolly? I think you do because you are wearing a July outfit. Yeah, I haven't got a bit of a holiday. I've just stepped off the plane vibe. I think it's the friendship bracelet. How was Hydra and the search for Lenna Cohen? Oh it was so wonderful. I love Hydra so much you've got to go to the listeners. Tell me my Hydra is something. So Hydra is a Greek island. A seronic island I think it's called. I called it Sardonic and that's wrong.

It's this kind of beautiful Bohemian time capsule because there are no cars on the island at all. It's just mules, donkeys and horses. So did you get a mule from the airport to your hotel?

No, you have to go from Athens. It's quite a shell-air actually to get on the metro to the harbor and then get a boat to Hydra.

So it feels quite romantic. You know what I'm like? I just love sitting and waiting at ports for boats. It made me feel like the eponymous Marianne from Solan Marianne.

Lenna Cohen fans often go there because in the 60s he bought a house there with some inheritance for like $1,500 and up in the hills.

And then he lived there for five years and met this woman there called Marianne who he wrote his most famous song about and lived in this kind of

idyll there where he said the song bird on a wire is about the fact that he was so sad that one day he was sitting looking out on Hydra from his window

and he saw that telephone wires were being installed and he was like I thought this would be like my 11th century getaway and you know modernity has found me.

But so it still has that feeling of it being of kind of stepping back in time like there are notice boards everywhere with kind of town signs about there's like an open air cinema.

It's just lovely. It's just so charming.

So I just covered the long form podcast which is an American podcast where they speak to nonfiction writers particularly journalists and memoirists.

So the really good episodes I loved of that were Lena Dunham's episode.

Ariel Levy God I love that woman the first one that she did I think is the best and the second one she did was great as well a lot about being a star for the New Yorker Elizabeth Gilbert.

She's excellent. She says some really good stuff about how to balance ego and soul when it comes to writing commercially David Remnick the editor of the New Yorker.
