And as promised, we are doing the deep dive on Dylan Thineman, who everyone is excited about.

And we have his high school coach, Josh Miracle, with us here.

Westfield High School was an assistant, the D.C. back then, head coach now.

And I don't know, did you become the head coach because of Dylan?

Do we have to give him credit for that, Josh?

Did he help you move up along the way? I'd say that's a big reason when you get smart players and guys that make you look like a better coach than you probably really are. So he probably has a lot of credit in that. So, you know, his history, of course, he's the third brother that's coming in, the first two, ended up redshirting at Purdue.

And of course, Dylan had all the options and he gets the scholarship to go there. What, what, you know, and you had like, I mean, these are big time players to get to even red shirts. So when you see Dylan come in, how long did it take you to figure out like, oh, this guy's better than his brothers and we really have an asset here yeah it kind of an interesting

deal here his brothers went to to garren catholic so another school and then you know we were lucky

enough to have dylan here he decided to stay in westfield because they have lived in westfield

and you know he came here and you could just tell the work ethic was different, you know, and then the high caliber football IQ, you know, you're not a lot around a ton of players are going to ask those types of questions, you know, that early on.

So you could see some pretty special, you know, traits developing early on.

Yeah, I mean, when we were at the combine, we had an opportunity to talk to him.

But when he was at the podium, you know, it really stood out to me where he talked about

his preparation for game day throughout the week and how he's really like become obsessed with

the tape and breaking it down into different increments each day,

itemizing third down clips, you know, and different looks and quarterback tendencies.

And he said that for him was really has what has unlocked him to this NFL potential.

And when we talked to him one on one, he said that started in high school.

So I'm curious from your perspective, where did you see that light come on for Dylan?

Yeah, I think it helps that, you know, our head coach at the time,

Jake Gilbert, you know, used to coach in college at play for him at Wabash College. So we tried to model a lot of our program with the collegiate feel. And I think, you know, certain guys, they take to it a little bit differently. I mean, you can show them some tape and third down clips and red zone. And we kind of have our own, you know, weekly plan here. But, you know, guys like Dylan, they take it to a whole other level. You know, now they're interacting, and they're asking you questions about that and you know, weekly plan here, but guys like Dylan, they take it to a whole other level.

You know, now they're interacting, they're asking you questions about that. And, you know, now that he has, you know, maybe a little bit more freedom, certainly when he's in college, and now at the NFL, I mean, that time to study, I mean, he's going to love every minute of it because that's the kind of kid he is and he's going to ask different questions and, you know, do a deep dive.
