0:05.4	DeLara, from Santa Cruz, California. Delara, can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
0:10.8	Well, hi, Sean, and thank you for having me on your show. I am an attorney, and I now live in the Los Angeles area.
0:18.1	Oh, okay.
0:18.7	Born and raised in Santa Cruz, California, so I'm a California girl.
0:22.2	And I have been working in various fields of law.
0:26.8	And my first introduction to law was in special victims, sex crimes, pedophilia crimes,
0:32.7	crimes against women and children, and unusual homicides and kind of sick and twisted
0:37.3	stuff that probably is the
0:39.6	most heart-wrenching part of the prosecutor's office.
0:42.8	So I was never a DA, but I worked in the prosecutor's office until my late 20s.
0:48.2	And I started in the police department.
0:50.0	I thought I wanted to be a police officer when I was really young.
0:52.2	So I have a strong law enforcement background with these types of crimes.
0:56.1	So it's nothing that I hadn't been exposed to before.
0:59.0	But, you know, you move on from this because it is a tough field to be in.
1:03.8	And as I started getting older, at that time, older was my late 20s, early 30s.
1:09.1	I just wanted a break from that world.
1:12.6	So I went into, I had a marketing background.
1:15.1	I somehow ended up owning a marketing company.
1:18.3	Wasn't the plan, but that's just how life goes.
1:20.8	And through that, I got to know corporate America.
