Hospitals and governments around the country are racing to vaccinate the people who are

most vulnerable to dying from COVID, seniors.

But they're running into a problem.

The apps and websites put into place to book appointments aren't exactly user friendly

to older Americans.

And I've heard anecdotally of friends of people my parents age who are having trouble

getting vaccine appointments, paint a picture for me about how tough it is for seniors who

don't have as much experience with the internet to get an appointment.

So the baseline difficulty for getting a vaccine appointment is already pretty high because

there's just not enough supply to meet demand.

But on top of that, there's a problem around the country of these kind of complicated

apps and websites being used to book vaccine appointments and to a young person who's

been using internet apps and websites for a while.

It may not be so complicated.

But if you're someone who's 85 years old, there are a lot of things that may not be so

instinctual.

One of the New York system asks you to put in your insurance information into the website,

which might make you pretty uncomfortable if you're not used to doing that.
