Hey everyone. I'm Katie Duke and I'm here with Dr. James Simmons and we are two nurse practitioners

and we are going to talk to you about something that needs to be talked about.

We're going to tell you today some tips on how to talk to people who are hesitant about

getting the COVID-19 vaccine because let's face it, there's a lot of misinformation

out there, and there's a lot of people who might not feel comfortable volunteering and getting

the COVID-19 vaccine. So we want to put a little bit of those fears at ease. And we're going to

tell you how to talk to your friends, family, and loved ones about this rather sensitive subject.

It can be sensitive, Katie. And I think it's really important to not just like lump everybody together and be like,

just because you're hesitant about this vaccine, the COVID-19 vaccines or any other

vaccines, doesn't mean you're an anti-vaxxer, you're anti-Madison or all this stuff.

Like, in fact, this leads me to our first tip to talking to people who are hesitant about the vaccine,

and that is number one, meet them where they are.

So people just are where they are in their medical journey.

Like, that's part of why we do what we do here is to help educate people.

And you just might have a lot of questions.
