Hey everyone, welcome to the Friday edition of The Nerve.

What a show we have for you today.

I was very excited putting this together.

But I do, before we start, I would just like to share a little personal anecdote.

I lost my iPhone yesterday on the streets of Brooklyn. And it was incredibly

destabilizing because, first of all, I couldn't believe I even lost it. I've never lost a phone in my

life. And it was and has been kind of traumatic. So like, luckily, there was an Apple store a few

blocks away, ran to the

Apple store, replaced the phone, but Apple has locked me out of my own ICloud for 24 hours.

So I have no Instagram, no Venmo, no ways, none of the things that, you know, like technology has

basically reduced us to toddlers. I feel as though there's very

little I can do. And then a friend of mine told me that last night or no, so the two nights ago,

was a, a strawberry moon. And apparently a strawberry moon causes all kinds of chaos. And I have

felt the ripple effects, as have many of my friends and people

around me. And the other thing I just want to say is, you know, when it comes to New Yorkers,

there is a trope in the culture that we are very confrontational and dramatic and can be very, you know,

rude and in your face and all of that. And that's,

there's truth to that. I mean, in many ways, that is our love language. But when push comes to

shove, New Yorkers are secretly the kindest, most considerate, most thoughtful and empathetic

people you will ever meet. And I just want to say thank

you to my friend Kim, who was going to take my dog yesterday as I was going to do really important

things, like go to a serious doctor's appointment. And instead, what am I doing? Like a trained seal. I'm
