It is Thursday, January 22nd, and we are standing by for the Oscar nominations.

And we really hope sinners gets nominated for something because that's the only damn movie we have seen the past year that's in the Oscars race. And with that, welcome to this episode of Amy and TJ. We are watching a countdown robes that says one minute until the Oscar nominations are put out. And we're doing it this way, Robes, for a reason, because frankly, we're going to watch it the way a lot of people watch it, which is... I haven't seen that movie. I need to watch that one. Who's that guy? It's usually how we watch

the Oscar nominations. Every single year, I feel like when I see the Oscar nominations, I realize

how uncultured I am, how I haven't seen so many of the apparently best movies of the year. In fact, sometimes I've seen none of them. So, yes, we're hoping sinners gets nominated because at least we'll have some skin in the game with something we've seen. We're not going to be able to add a lot of perspective because, yeah. Don't start with that. People cut it off already. They can't offer anything. Well, do you know what happens, though? And I think a lot of people are like this. We hear the nominations, and then we go and we see

the movies. And that's kind of cool. And that's obviously why, for a number of reasons, it's a big

deal when these movies get nominations because it means money. It means eyeballs. It makes and

breaks careers oftentimes. and certainly changes the course

of actors' lives and careers. And so we are, they are just getting started here now.

So this is going to be great. So the intro has been done here. I'm not sure who this young lady is,

but this isn't the, there are two actors who are up. Do you have them in front of you?

Who's going to be doing the nominations?

Daniel Brooks is going to be doing the nomination.

Orange is the new black.

I love her from that.

And then Lewis Pullman, the son of actor Bill Pullman, who's an actor in his own right,

those two are going to be giving the nominations for us all to hear.

Ten films they can put up now.

They changed that several years ago to have more of the, so the commercial hits can make

it into the category.
