We're picking up with day three of our time management principles

from God's word devotion on the Bible app.

And as always, I'm going to read the scripture, then Taurus can pick up with the Devo.

Let's do it.

The scripture is Matthew chapter 5 verse 37 and it says this

Just a simple yes I will or no I won't anything beyond this is from the evil one

dang.

Oh, gosh!

All right, let's see what this devotional says.

It is titled, Collect Your Commitments.

Jesus commanded that our yes be yes, but more and more frequently, a Christian's yes really means no.

Every time we fail to follow through on a commitment, show up late, don't complete a project on time, or fail

to keep our voicemail's promise that we will return your call as soon as possible, we are

disobeying Jesus's command that our yes be yes.

In our fast-paced lives we are saying yes more than ever, while more and more

frequently failing to keep our word.

The fact that this sin seems so innocuous should set off alarms within the church.
