Good morning everyone and welcome back to another morning with the masters where we devote

ourselves to the Lord daily with you. Good morning you guys. We are picking up with day two of our

if God is for us celebrating the power of God's grace devotional in the Bible app. There's a link

to that in the description of the podcast. If you guys want to follow along with us and as

always I'm going to read the scripture. The tour is going to pick up with the Devo. Let's do

it. The scripture is Romans chapter 8 verses 9 and 10 and it says this, but you are not controlled

by your sinful nature. You are controlled by this spirit if you have the spirit of God living

in you. And remember that those who do not have the spirit of Christ living in them do not belong

to him at all and Christ lives within you. So even though your body will die because of sin the

spirit gives you life because you have been made right with God. The devotional is titled Life

in the Spirit and it says I became a Christian at the age of 22 which gave me a bit of time to

do some sinning. Actually I would have been considered a quote unquote good girl even before that

although I struggled with various temptations. When I became a Christian however I was radically

changed. My motives ambitions ideology even desires were transformed. The spirit was in me changing

my old self into a new creation. This was nothing but miraculous. Before becoming a Christian I did

not have the spirit of Christ. Christ was not in me and I was not in Christ. I did not belong to him.

Spiritually speaking I was dead, dead in my sin. But God who is rich and mercy brought me to life.

He gave me his spirit and Christ's righteousness. This is the experience of everyone who trusts

and the finished work of Jesus Christ on their behalf. But something can happen after our conversion.

It can happen after a few months or 10 years down the road. We can be tempted to forget about the

miracle work of grace and begin to notice all the things we do wrong. We can begin to confuse ourselves

with our sin. We can even become more aware of sin than we do of God's grace. It's good to be
