Morning, this episode's going to disturb you and is going to make you question everything you thought you knew.

On a clear September morning in 2001, the world stood still as terror unfolded in the skies above America,

a day that would be forever etched into history and remembered as 9-11.

On that morning, hijacked commercial planes carrying hundreds of passengers crashed into the twin

towers of the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and a field in Pennsylvania, leaving thousands

dead and a nation in mourning. The images of collapsing towers and billowing smoke became symbols

of a new era of fear and resilience, and also ushered in a new technological surveillance state and mass paranoia

in America. I have a lot of thoughts on 9-11, but I'm going to save those for the 9-11 episode

that I'll be releasing later this year. It's one of the longest scripts that I've ever had

the pleasure of working with my team to write and research, and it is incredibly thorough

and incredibly disturbing. So we'll get to that though later on this fall.

In the aftermath of the 9-11 attacks, as people sought to understand this catastrophe, something

strange happened.

As people began to look back to the days, months, and years before the tragedy, they began

to uncover eerie instances in television shows, movies, music, and art that seemed to have

somehow predicted the upcoming tragedy, sometimes in extremely eerily accurate detail.

From television shows to album covers, these works contained imagery or themes that disturbingly

mirrored the events of that fateful day, almost as if they were warning us of an impending disaster to come.

Were these all mere coincidences? Or did these people tap into some deeper foresight?
