Welcome to the program today. My name is Mono Gonzalez, and I'm here in studio with Lee Brainer,

and we have really some exciting research to share with you. Welcome, Lee. Thank you. I'm very glad to be here.

Yeah, we have been having a great time discussing some research that Lee has come across,

and I want to share with that a little bit about it. But at the first part we want to talk about here

is the whole idea

of a pre-tribulation rapture, it has become, in many corners of the Christendom, if you want to say it,

or the church, it has become a dirty word. And for us, we want to recognize, again, some theological

principles here, as well as some historical facts.

Some people will make the claim, and it's really perpetuated over and over,

that the idea that theology of a pre-trib rapture was something that has been really started recently,

roughly in the 1830s, and we're going to talk about that.

The sole idea of John Darby, and really, as we think about what God has revealed in these last times,

what we want to do is investigate whether that claim is accurate.

There's been a lot of research done.

There's been other scholars that have shared the idea of the fact that there have been pre-Darby comments or theological statements in church history or others prior to that.

But the real question is how many?

One of the latest articles I read by Tommy Ice was there's about 35 statements that are made, and we want to even add to that today.

The other thing that we want to say right here in the beginning,

I think this is important, is just because historical theologians

have found statements that are very clearly pre-tribulational,

does that mean that it's automatically, theologically true? Absolutely not. Our ultimate authority is the Bible. The Bible

is our only rule of faith and practice. I think that's important too, because as we're
