John Paul Radle Miller, a man whose devotion to the lighthouse was matched only by his fondness

for brewing his own beer, a brew so popular it said that it cost him his life.

On a cold January night in 1815, amid a backdrop of wartime tensions and

winter storms, Rattle Miller met a brutal, untimely end at the hands of drunken soldiers. His

body, they say, was hidden in the shadows of the very lighthouse he once kept aflame. But what if

his story didn't end there? For generations, visitors and locals alike
