and did his doctorate in theology, also at the University

of Oxford, in the United Kingdom.

And we are really, really pleased that our old friend, who's come to lecture here at the

Dominican House many times, is able to join us through the Internet to talk about,

Thank you for the invitation to speak with you this evening.

So Father Simon, you are the author of a book,

Did the Savior See the Father, which I've got right here.

It's an excellent book from T&T Clark,

and it's a very important

contribution. Ah, Father Simon has it too. It's an excellent contribution to the issue about

Jesus' knowledge and its place in our salvation. And it's a subject that has been a source

of passion for many theologians.

You even often will hear priests, for example, from the pulpit preach about it.

It comes up in just in our normal reflections about the life of Jesus.

What did he know about God as man?

How do we understand his human intellect in relation to his divinity and many other questions
