the Bahamas. You know, for me and my guest this week, Simon Evans, if we both had Netflix

specials, you wouldn't be sitting in the open. Where are you? You're in a park at the moment recording

this. I'm in a very agreeable part of London, to be honest. I'm sitting outside the quarter

cafe on Castle now,

which is an extraordinarily desirable road that leads away from Hammersmith Bridge into Barnes.

Stayed with a friend here last night in his little basement flat, but he's got a baby.

So I didn't think it would be safe to record the podcast there.

But yeah, I can't complain. I am outdoors and I am layered up, but it is a very

desirable part of London. Okay. I'm a man on the scene. And, you know, you are, we were just

talking before we went on air. I sort of mentioned to you one of the extra stories that we're going

to discuss today. And you said, it's fine. You know, I did headliners on G.B. News last night. And we sort of jokingly spoke about

being news fit, whereas once upon a time we were gig fit. The industry's changed, doesn't it,

mate? I mean, radio streaming services, clips. Do you remember when we just used to do some gigs

Thursday or Saturday and earned a pretty good income? I mean, I'm still off the pace. My agent is

explaining to me now that the money is

in reels, influencers, actual stand-up comedian to become influencers, create a couple of reels for a brand

in their own home and have been a pocketed enough to go away for the weekend off the back of that.

They don't even have to do sort of the circuit, the open mic spots or anything now. I still feel
