Summary

Today is Election Day 2021 for many states across the country, however all eyes are especially on the Virginia gubernatorial election. A race between former Democratic Virginia governor, Terry McAuliffe, and Republican newcomer and businessman Glenn Youngkin has tightened over the last few months, with many polls showing the candidates in a dead heat. As the people of Virginia head to polls, Fox News Chief Political Anchor and Host of Special Report Bret Baier joins to discuss how the candidates earned their spot in their respective primaries, the reason Youngkin's education platform has gained him significant momentum in the race, how former President Trump and President Biden are influencing the race and whether the outcome will give insight into 2022. While both Democrats and Republicans are looking at the Virginia race today as a bellwether for next year's Midterm elections, one issue we have seen throughout the campaign is the debate over critical race theory being taught in schools. Parents in Loudon County VA have been quite vocal about their anger towards CRT, especially during school board meetings. The issue has ignited the debate whether parents should have a say in what is in their school district's curriculum. Executive Director of Fightforschools.com and a former senior official in the Trump Department of Justice, Ian Prior and Virginia Delegate Mark Levine (D) weigh in on the ongoing culture wars involving the school board and parents in Loudon County. Plus, commentary by former Rep. Jason Chaffetz, host of the Jason in the House podcast. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
