It's notes from America. I'm Ty Wright and I am hopping into the podcast feed with a special conversation because a lot is happening in the political world now.

And notably, friends, within hours of Vice President Kamala Harris becoming the new presumptive

nominee of the Democratic Party, something like 44,000 black women got on a Zoom call

to talk about what it meant for them to talk about how they

could support the campaign and just process the historic moment and then a day

later at least according to the organizers, another 20,000 black men did the same thing.

So I just wanted to process that moment, what happened on these calls, and I've called up somebody who joined them.

Eva McKinn is CNN's national political correspondent.

She was on the call and she is on the campaign trail right now.
