When was the last time you went into a foot locker to go shopping for shoes or sports?

I didn't even know they were still open. Are they still open?

They are. But they're being acquired by Dick's sporting goods. I would not have. If you just

said open or closed, I would have played closed. It's been, oh, geez. I don't know. The last time I was

in a mall, I mean, I've been in the Circle Center mall, but not like I'm looking for things,

just walking

around killing time. I don't know, 25 years, 20 years. Is it Foot Locker the one where they

wear like referee shirts? Well, they used to. I don't know. I haven't been in one in a long time.

Yeah. So Dick Sporting Goods announced that they're acquiring Foot Locker for $2.5 billion.

If that's been approved by their shareholders, the deal's

going to close sometime later this year. How does a place like that even stay open, though, in the

modern era where you can buy anything and everything on the internet? Now, I get dicks. It's a

megastore. There's got to be a mega everything. Like there's a mega Walmart. I get that.

But how does a niche store like that that is

primarily mall driven in a world where malls are disappearing or the or the content of malls is

disappearing how how how are they even open they still plan to operate as standalone units.

So they're still going to remain in these malls that you're talking about that are empty.
