Well, this is Tom Bass, and welcome to the show,

and I guess it's been a bit since we've done Amusings.

And so I guess I figured we'd get around to doing one again.

There's a lot of things going on, but I wanted to start this musings on out with a, basically a bit from Mark Zlinski talking about his experience

that Jen Khan so without any further ado we'll get right into Mark talking about

his experiences there and then I'll make some comments at the end.

Hey everyone, this is Mark Salinsky.

I thought I'd share with you a little bit about my trip to GenCon this year.

I haven't been to GenCon in about seven years and it was great to be back.

And I'm happy to report that GenCon is alive and well.

Actually, GenCon set record attendance this year with 28,600 unique

attendees and over 95,000 turnstiles. This represents a 6% increase over last year's attendance

and just goes to show you that gaming is alive and well. We rolled into GenCon on Friday night a little bit late but about 8 o'clock

or so I think and we went straight in picked up our badges and fortunately there was no line whatsoever, we breezed right through,

and then headed straight over towards the Spillathon and also the auction store.

My wife is a real sucker for the auction store, so she headed straight over there.
