Why didn't they come in, swoop in for $70 million?

You would have fortified your bullpen, and you would have really stuck it to Steve Cohen after what he did with the Soto thing last year. Why are we just sitting here on the sidelines and not making our move? Edwin-D. after $70 million, we could have taken it off. You know why. You know why. Because Hal Steinbrenner is not going to go past a certain number. They want to sign Bellinger and re-sign Bellinger, and if they can't do that, then maybe they pivot to something else, but their main focus is bringing Bellinger back and not adding to the bullpen. That's a sad state of affairs, because any other, it would have been so perfect for the Yankees to spoop in, take the headlines, take Edwin Diaz, and you're not just doing it for the headlines.

You would have had the best bullpen in the league. Ben-Nor would have set up for you. Edwin would have closed for you.
