A zombie show, AMC's The Walking Dead, is breaking all-time cable viewing records.

It's especially beloved by the young, and it's about more than zombies.

It's about bodies, devoid of souls, and life reduced to survival.

As strange as it may sound, television is a place where some great writers and actors

are asking big questions of our time.

You know, the good book tells us that there's no darkness that the light can't overcome.
