Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Roberts and as always I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson here on the Maroon Friday edition of the yard. I wore my

vintage interlocking MSU pull over today. I was celebrating Maroon Friday. We had our good friends from Haddisfarge

done a Loblolly Bakery come and do a pop-up kingcake sale at

in front of True Rest, the wife's business. And they were about 20 minutes late, much to their

chagrin, about 20 minutes late. But by the time I got up there, there was like 60, 70 people in line.

And they sold all 200 king cakes in

just over an hour. Now, we may do it again at some point. I can't tell you when. We've still

got people calling and messaging. Just as I began to record the show, somebody said, hey,

I'm coming up tomorrow. Do you guys still have king? No, no, no, no, we don't. We don don't I didn't know what to expect but you know

Robert St. John and his crew did and they kind of prepared us and said hey there's going to be like

a long line when we get there ended up being a dramatic entrance but nevertheless very

very very happy that we were able to bring that to Stargault that's one of the things that we take a lot of pride in we believe in small business uh we believe in helping our neighbors helping our friends and so yeah this wouldn't be like an an all the time thing like we would not you know we wouldn't do that so it's a special occasion

but thanks for everybody it turned out everybody that came out and got in line did get a cake there were

some people that came later that uh were cakeless and um you know that's what happens you know

uh when they tell me they'll bring in 200 cakes i said okay well that'll be good so dana calls

me like right at 11 and says where are you i said i'm getting dressed them on the way she's like

oh how did you get up here and help do crowd control because people are out lined up here for almost

an hour and uh we don't have king cakes here yet and so so, you know, we aren't selling them.

It's our friends at Loblob that are selling them.

And I got a couple.

I got the regular cinnamon, which I've already had a chance to sample.

It's outstanding.
