Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Robertson. As always, I am your good friend and host, Steve Robertson.

Back in Stark Vegas after a day back down south, I didn't get wards yesterday though. I didn't get wards.

And I was back in Columbia. I covered the tremendous Mississippi State win over Southern Miss.

We'll spend a little bit of time with that as we get ready to preview our series with Queens,

but nevertheless had the high table down there, spent the morning with some students at Columbia High School talking riding,

really just trying to inspire them to understand that

even though you're from a small town you don't have to be small time right and I think

it was important for me to do that I had a guy tell me I think I've shared us with you

guys before had a guy tell me on the Wind and Bottom Falls book tour

that I was the most prolific writer to come from Columbia, Mississippi.

And that meant something to me.

Granted, it's not a heated race, surely, but to be known as the most prolific rider from your

hometown is pretty special and so I felt that I needed to go back and spend some

time with them it got some cool things planned for me a couple months from now

we'll talk about that at a later date but it's super cool man and one of the ladies that was part of the event

explained to me that her dad was my algebra two teacher and I said hey that was his classroom

right there and she goes yeah now it's my office. I thought, how cool is that?

But Columbia High School was very special to me.

It was good to be back home and spent some time with them, went by the public library,

and visited with them a little bit.

And it's kind of a surreal experience.

I'm old enough to remember when our public library in Columbia was a house.
