The Department of Homeland Security is pulling out 700 personnel from Minnesota effective immediately.

President Donald Trump's border czar Tom Homan made the announcement late this morning.

He said a total drawdown would depend on cooperation with local and state law enforcement.

He also said the administration plans to roll out body-worn cameras for immigration officers.

We identified a gap in regard to the use of body-worn cameras.

Some officers and agents had them, some didn't.

That inconsistency was unacceptable. So we moved immediately to prioritize full body cam deployment

in the city.

The plan is to deploy them nationwide, but it's a priority for the city right now.

gave yesterday about Guthrie, who is the mother of NBC Today anchor Savannah Guthrie. Some of the most

recent evidence in the search is purported ransom notes sent to media

outlets. At least three different media outlets reported receiving notes earlier this week,

demanding millions of dollars in Bitcoin for Guthrie's safe return. Important to say, though,

the notes have not been verified as legitimate, but they have been turned over to authorities.
