allegedly canceling reservations of immigration and custom enforcement officers at a hotel in

The agency posted on X that Hilton Hotels has launched a coordinated campaign in Minneapolis to refuse service to DHS law enforcement.

The post goes on to say that when officers attempted to book rooms using an official

government email and rate, Hilton hotels maliciously canceled

their reservation. The DHS also shared screenshots of what appeared to be two emails from

a Hilton.com address regarding the reservation at a Hampton Inn Lakeville property. The email said

they noticed an influx of Gov or GOV reservations that have been for

DHS and they're not allowing any ICE or immigration agents to stay at the property. It goes on to say

that if someone is with DHS or immigration to let them know because they'll need to cancel the

reservation. Shares of Hilton ended nearly

2.5% lower on Monday. A spokesperson for the hotel chain said the location is independently owned

and operated and these actions were not reflective of Hilton values. It says they've been in direct

contact with the hotel and they have apologized for the actions of that team, which was not in keeping with their policy.

The spokesperson added that they've taken immediate action to resolve this matter and are contacting impacted guests to ensure they are accommodated.
