0:00.0	Howdy, everybody. This is CJ in 2025, and back after a long period of not putting out anything much, podcasting-wise.
0:12.2	And there's been good reason for that. Not good things, unfortunately, but good reasons. And I won't get into it here.
0:20.3	But anyway, perhaps I'm cheating a little bit,
0:21.9	because this first episode that I'm putting out is a reissue of an old episode, but it's
0:27.2	being put out for a reason. So the bulk of this episode is going to consist of Dangerous History
0:33.6	podcast episode 95, which was made all the way back in 2016, I believe in the spring.
0:43.4	So almost a decade ago, about nine and a half years ago.
0:47.3	And this episode is the first part of a series I did that earned me a lot of positive feedback
0:53.7	at the time, but then I think got a little bit
0:55.4	overshadowed by some of my later stuff, like the Civil War series and the ongoing Woodrow Wilson
1:01.6	series. But it was a multi-part series I did called A History of American Slavery.
1:10.0	Looking at American slavery, really the whole kind of
1:14.8	Western Hemisphere, but, you know, with a little bit more focus on British, North America,
1:20.2	you know, eventually the United States, than elsewhere, but I did look at elsewhere
1:23.6	to varying degrees to, you know, compare and contrast and keep things in context.
1:30.2	But one thing that I've been working on the last few days, as I've finally been, you know, well
1:35.0	enough to do some serious work again, has been to collect the History of American Slavery Series
1:40.6	in the same way that I've done with the Civil War series and the American
1:45.7	Revolution series. And as I'm also going to start doing pretty soon with the Woodrow Wilson
1:50.2	series as well, even though I'm not done with that yet. But to make collections out of these
1:55.7	series, organized into volumes. And so I'm doing that with the History of American Slavery series, and as of this recording, I've already got volume one and volume two up and ready to go in my Patreon shop, where you can purchase each volume, which in this case, each volume is going to contain two episodes, and it'll have the episodes, you know, cut together
2:20.4	with probably like a musical break or something in between each episode, so you kind of know.
