So today, we have a super chunky episode, lots of updates to existing construction projects,

new projects announced for Disney World, and a smaller but at least one important project

announced for Disneyland, and we'll also explore how these announcements fit into Disney's marketing

strategy. That is what Disney would

like you as a consumer to do with all of this information. We'll also continue our ongoing

discussion of how Disney, at least in terms of the parks here, is now trying to climb up out

of the mess that ex-CEO Bob Chapic left there.

And lastly, we'll strip away some of that clickbait sensationalism around recent price

increases at the parks and figure out what these actually mean for both peak periods and

for the other 85% of the year. Yes, there were some expected increases for both of the American resorts, and nobody likes that.

But no, it's not exactly the way that certain clickbait articles suggest.

And inside these various pricing strategies, Disney likely reveals some internal predictions for visitation

in 2026.

Spoiler alert here, it's another soft year of visitation for Florida, but California is going

to be just fine.

Right now we're seeing the effects of Bob Chapix time at Disney as CEO.

He was CEO from February 2020 to November 2022, a little over two and a half years.

During his time as CEO, he was largely focused on streaming, the growth of

the cruise line, and reorganizing corporate structures within Disney. Very little of this went well.
