So hello everyone and welcome and to this amazing topic of insight, this amazing capacity we have to see clearly.

And the word v. Pasina translated as insight has the word C in it. Passana. B is the emphatic, see if you really see,

and that becomes clear seeing or insight. And I think to appreciate the wonder of it, the potential of it,

is to begin seeing the possibility, understanding the possibility of seeing without the filter

of all kinds of preconceived ideas, biases, preferences, abstractions, abstract ideas that we have,

and just kind of see simply. It was kind of a big lesson for me when I was 18 and when traveling with friends through Morocco.

And I felt a very strange thing in Morocco. I felt there was a kind of a ease and simplicity in my mind

that I had never felt before. It wasn't dramatic, but it was something different.

And after a while, I decided the reason was back then

that people in Morocco wore clothes.

They were very different than what I was used to in Europe,

growing up in Europe or in United States. And in those clothes they were wearing, I had no context for them to judge them,

to peg them, to see where they were, kind of they're conservative, they're hippie, they're

this or that. And so I didn't have that overlay. And my mind wasn't creating this interpretation.

I was just seeing people with these different clothes. It was very simple. And remarkably,

that such a simple, innocent thing as, you know, recognizing someone because of what

their clothes they're wearing is an activity of the mind that keeps the mind activated and not

doing that was actually kind of pleasant and nice. So to begin kind of see clearly without the overlay of

concepts, ideas, see things as they are. And one of the first insight, as we did some weeks ago,
