and we've got a big trade in the NFL that will have huge implications on the draft.

Let's dive in.

All right, we've spent the last several weeks talking about the possibility of the Minnesota Vikings

trading up to acquire defensive tackle from the New York Giants, Dexter Lawrence, because Lawrence

was unhappy in New York and was forcing his way out.

And we've debated over the price tag.

How much would you give up?

Would you really go to the level of a first round pick for Dexter Lawrence?

And a lot of the reporting was that the Giants didn't expect to receive a first round pick for Dexter Lawrence. And a lot of the reporting was that the Giants didn't expect to receive a first rounder

in exchange.

And yet here we are the Cincinnati Bengals, the 10th overall draft pick they send to New York

for the excellent Dexter Lawrence.

Now, there is debates raging as there always is when there's a trade.

Who won this deal?

Well, let's try to break it down here.

So first of all, the New York Giants having to trade one of the best players in the NFL,

you do not win a deal when one of your guys, who an all pro caliber player widely considered top five at his position says, get me the heck away from your franchise.

That is not usually considered a W.

But from the reported price tags that were out there and the discussions we were having,

hey, would you do 49 and 82 for Lawrence?

And it is a player who is coming off somewhat of an injury.
