Summary
Have you ever been taught that focusing on your health or fitness might be selfish… or even vain?
Many Christian women have been exposed to a more legalistic view that caring about their bodies or health is prideful or worldly.
But when we look at what Jesus actually said, we see something very different.
Jesus tells us to love our neighbor as ourselves — which means caring for your body and your health was never meant to be selfish.
In this episode of the Strong. Confident. His. Podcast, I'm sharing what Scripture really teaches about caring for your body and why stewarding your health can actually be an act of honoring God.
In this episode, you'll learn:
• Why many Christian women believe taking care of themselves is selfish
• How constantly serving everyone else can lead to exhaustion and neglecting your health
• What Jesus meant when He said to love your neighbor as yourself
• Why caring for your body is biblical stewardship, not vanity
• How shifting your mindset about your body can transform your relationship with food, fitness, and discipline
This episode will help you stop seeing health as something selfish and start seeing it as an act of gratitude for the life God has given you.
When you begin to love yourself the way God loves you, you begin to care for yourself the way He intended.
