Summary

When life gets loud, unclear, or unfamiliar, the most faithful move isn't figuring out what's next—it's returning to Jesus right where you are.

This short Saturday devotional is a pause.
A reminder that rest doesn't come from clarity, productivity, or answers—it comes from abiding.

In today's episode, we reflect on:

  • Why coming back to Jesus matters more than figuring everything out
  • How quiet moments with God can strengthen us more than we expect
  • What it looks like to abide when life feels heavy or hard
  • How Jesus invites us to come as we are—not perform or prove anything

Scripture reminds us:

"In returning and rest you shall be saved;
in quietness and trust shall be your strength."
— Isaiah 30:15

If you're in a season of change, waiting, or uncertainty, this devotional is an invitation to stop, return, and remain with Jesus—right where you are.

Today we are talking about returning, not returning to more productivity, not returning to routine,

but returning to Jesus. Let's begin with scripture. Isaiah 3015 says, in returning and rest, you shall be saved. In quietness and

trust shall be your strength. I want you to notice the order of that verse. Returning comes before rest.

1:07.7

Quiet comes before strength. We often reverse it. We tell ourselves, I'll return to God when

things calm down. I'll slow down when this season passes. I'll rest when I figure out what's next.

1:22.6

But scripture says something different. It says return first. Returning doesn't mean you've wandered away.

1:31.7

It means you've been caring more than you are meant to. And Jesus knows that. That's why he says in

Matthew 1128, come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

It comes from doing too much without

neither can you unless you abide in me. Abiding doesn't rush, it doesn't strive. It doesn't announce itself. Abiding says in seasons
