Summary

BREAKING NEWS: After four days of intense manhunt and public pressure, Arkansas State Police have arrested 28-year-old James Andrew McGann of Springdale for the brutal double homicide that shocked the state of Arkansas and the nation.

McGann is now facing two counts of Capital Murder in the Devil’s Den State Park killings of Clinton and Cristen Brink, who were viciously stabbed to death while hiking with their two young daughters on Saturday, July 26th, 2025. The girls, ages 7 and 9, escaped and are now safe with family members—but the trauma will haunt them forever.

McGann was taken into custody at 4:57 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30, at a business in Springdale. His arrest follows exclusive reporting and eyewitness interviews aired here first on the Hidden Killers podcast—including the firsthand accounts from hikers who came face to face with the killer and the exclusive release of what we now know was surveillance video of the suspect’s vehicle.

Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders called the arrest “a comfort and reassurance for our state” and praised law enforcement for their relentless pursuit. ASP Colonel Mike Hagar said, “We were able to take a monster off the streets, and bring relief to those two precious girls.”

In this episode, we break down how the arrest happened, what we know so far about McGann, and what comes next in this rapidly developing case.

Stay tuned. We will not stop covering this until there’s full accountability.
