Owen, can you tell our listeners briefly about your background, what you do now and how you got started?

Yeah, I got started 40 years ago, and I had a friend of mine that was living with me in Boulder,

Colorado, was one of my roommates, and he'd given up his law practice to come out to Boulder to learn how to be a Rolfer, which is a kind of body therapy.

And he convinced me to give it a try, and that really changed my body, but also really ended up releasing a lot of stress and emotional tension in my body and opened me up to my emotions.

And one thing led to another and I became

a Rolfer and ended up opening a holistic medical clinic that certainly included Rolfing down

in Scottsdale or Phoenix, Arizona, and did that for 17 years. And then in the course of doing

that, I ended up healing much of my Asperger syndrome, dyslexia,

dyspraxia, we'll call that Asperger's, or dyslexia of the body, and then eventually

even ADD and Lyme disease.

And in the course of all that, I realized that there was still something missing in my life,

and that was really more

around my emotions and particularly around being a man. And about 20 years ago, I started getting

into men's work, and particularly men's group, and helped start several groups first in Arizona
