Thank you. True Crime Podcast. Tuesday, February 20th, marked the heartbreaking conclusion to a five-day search for a missing

little girl.

The body of 11-year-old Audrey Cunningham was found in the Trinity River, roughly 10 miles away from her home in Livingston, Texas.

Audrey was reported missing when she didn't come home from school on Thursday, February 15th.

But she had never even made it to the bus stop in the morning.

42-year-old Don Stephen McDougal, a family friend of the Cunningham's who lived on their

property, was supposed to drop Audrey off at the bus that morning. Authorities had named McDougall

as a person of interest in the case. he has now been charged with capital murder.

McDougal has a lengthy criminal record that dates back to the early 2000s and was twice convicted

on child enticement charges in 2008. Jonathan Hunt is a Fox News correspondent based in Los Angeles

who has been following this story closely.

He joins me now with the latest updates on the case.
