When last we left you on Bible Book Club in chapters 5 and 6, we were really getting into it and it was rich.

So we started talking about Moses in the second sermon to the Israelites. Moses started

this sermon with a challenge to obey the Ten Commandments. Then he moved to the motivation

to obey the commandments. Love. In chapter 6, verse 4, we read the Shama, or the prayer that is still

recited by Jews today. Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord

is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your

strength. Jesus used the Shama in combination with Leviticus 1918 to form the first and second

greatest commandments in Matthew 2237, And that was my Bible bender,

your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.
