0:16.6	Today we are looking at three cases, two that are question-filled mysteries still, and
0:22.1	one that is finally coming to resolution after a very long time.
0:27.2	The first case involved a student who went missing, seemingly disappearing into the San Francisco
0:31.9	fog one night never to be seen again.
0:34.5	In fall of 2020, Sydney West was experiencing the same thrill and joy of the new college
0:38.9	experience that thousands of students feel.
0:41.7	She had moved from North Carolina to attend the prestigious UC Berkeley in San Francisco's
0:46.5	East Bay.
0:47.5	Of course, 2020 was peak COVID, and despite her moving to California, all of her classes
0:53.6	were moved to online learning.
0:55.9	Not for any student, but the online classes were particularly challenging for Sydney because
1:02.0	of a concussion that she had suffered the previous summer.
1:05.1	So she made the decision to defer onto the following fall, hoping for the world to open

1:11.3	After leaving Berkeley, Sydney planned to stay for a short time in the Bay area with family

1:16.3	On September 29th, she had a long phone conversation with her father, something that was quite
1:20.8	normal for the highly family-oriented Sydney.
1:23.6	Her dad was expected to hear from her the next day, but after several attempts to contact
1:27.9	her, he got worried and contacted authorities.
