I'm your host, Gordon McGuinness, joined today by Dalton Wasserman,

and we are here to break down the three games that we had on Thanksgiving.

Going to jump straight in, and we're going to talk about the tremendous

ending that we saw between the Detroit Lions and the Chicago Bears. The Lions win in that game

23 to 20 and I'm going to jump straight in with my stat that told the story of the game and I guess

it's not a stat but it's just exactly what happened at the end of that game. So the Bears down three points at the end of the game and I guess it's not a stat but it's just exactly what happened at the end

of that game. So the Bears down three points at the end of that game had the ball at the

Lions 25. It's second and 10. There's 43 seconds left on the clock and from that point on they ran

three plays. There's a penalty on what would have been a first down to Keenan Allen.

Then they had what looks like an RPO quarterback draw or some kind of play.

I don't think it was as simple as it just being a sack.

And that was with over 30 seconds left on the clock.

And then they don't get the play call in in time.

They don't get a timeout call.

They still had one timeout left at this point, but they were hoping to use it after the play so that they can get the field goal unit on for the attempt to take the game to overtime. You get a last second heaved downfield by Caleb Williams, whereby,

you know, the ball is hitting the turf. Clock's expired. You don't even have the time to try

a long field goal at that point.

I just, I don't really know how you let this happen.

Like, letting the clock expire was awful.

The RPO draw, or whatever that call was,

might have been even worse than that situation
