Summary

The Detroit Lions missed the playoffs last year, but the bigger issue is they lost their identity. The run game took a step back and with it the physicality that propelled this modern Lions run. They must get that back in time to take on a daunting finish to their schedule. The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to get back on top as well and to do so they will need to protect Patrick Mahomes. As they need to allow Mahomes to find his rhythm for a less-than-joyous late-season slate. Finally, the Washington Commanders are looking to get back to their recent heights too, but will need stellar run defense and an improved offense to manage their schedule.
