And you guys may know him because he's the head writer on the TV show Criminal Minds.

But besides that, before he became a writer, he paid his dues in other areas, namely the FBI.

He was an FBI.

He was one of their top profilers.

And he also spent several years training in the behavioral analysis unit and what better individual to have

on than Jim Clementi. Jim, welcome to the show. How you doing, Bill? It's great to see you guys.

It's great to have you back, Jim. You know something? As soon as I heard the deal,

and I don't think the fact that Rex Hulman pled guilty was a surprise to anyone, although many people, of course, would have liked there to have been a trial just so they could find out all the things that he did in a court of law.

But he pled guilty to seven murders and admitted to an eighth Karen Vergata.

And for that, he's getting three

life terms. But more importantly and more interestingly to the true crime community and to us,

is that Ray Tierney, the Suffolk County District Attorney, got him to agree to be interviewed

by the FBI behavioral analysis unit.

Yeah.

And Jim, you know all about that.

And we're going to let you do a hell of a lot of your talking because we don't know

really anything about this.

What are your thoughts about that?

Well, first of all, I think it totally meshes with his personality.

I think he's a narcissistic, egomaniac who loves to tell people about himself.

And so I think he agreed to do that because he realizes he's spending the rest of his life

in a gray cell and he'll never get out.
