| 0:45.6 | going to be looking at Proverbs chapter 28 verses 3 and 16 and the theme that |
| 0:51.8 | Solomon points out for us in his writing today is the theme of oppression and I |
| 0:58.3 | think that all of us have been in a position at one time or another in our lives |
| 1:02.4 | when we have experienced oppression that means the person in authority or or |
| 1:09.0 | even a person who isn't an authority but takes authority upon themselves puts |
| 1:13.9 | us in a position where we are forced to do certain things against our will. |
| 1:19.4 | That today Solomon brings up at least one circumstance that's a very |
| 1:23.6 | surprising circumstance of oppression and he shows the danger of that and then |
| 1:28.1 | he also is going to show a more typical type of oppression and the effect that it |
| 1:33.0 | has. Let's start with verse number three in Proverbs chapter 28 and it says a |
| 1:37.8 | poor man who oppresses the poor is a beating rain that leaves no food so do you |
