0:00.0	The destiny of the Christian is the end of human conflict, the end of warfare as we enter ultimately into the peace for which we have been created.
0:13.4	And we will live in harmony and in beauty.
0:19.6	And we will live in harmony and in beauty and in holiness.
0:30.0	We have to ask this question.
0:35.0	Why did God create man in the first place?
0:40.0	Why are we here?
0:42.0	Why does God bother to set man Why are we here?
0:43.0	Why does God bother to set man on this planet?
0:46.3	Well we notice in verse 3 of chapter 2 the following words,
0:50.9	then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it he rested from all his work which
1:02.2	he had created and made.
1:05.0	Now, you would think that if the sixth day is the pinnacle of this seven day period of creation that if the sixth day is the ultimate day of
1:17.2	creation the day where the crowning act of glory is brought to pass with the
1:21.6	creation of man in God's own image, that that would be the day
1:25.5	that God would bless and hallow and sanctify.
1:33.4	But that's not where the Old Testament places the accent.
1:37.6	The blessing, the consecration, the hallowing
1:41.4	takes place on the seventh day.
1:46.0	Now, what does that mean?
1:49.0	With this structure of seven days,
1:52.2	the goal of creation is not simply the existence of man, but the
2:01.0	goal, the ultimate goal of creation is Sabbath holiness.
