Tammy, welcome to the program. Hi, Dr. Laura. Thank you so much for taking my call. Thank you.

So I wanted to give you a, give you a little bit of a background. And just

my daughter is getting married in a month. And she has had her wedding planned for a year now.

It's a, it's a destination wedding.

And she's given, told everybody, you know,

given us all a year to save up for this destination wedding.

And we got a call.

Oh, stop.

Just stop.

How gracious of her.

That all these people have to save money on the account of her party. Oh my God, you raised that? Gee, sorry. Yeah. That's hilarious. First of all,

I have always refused to go to a destination wedding. I think that's the

height of self-centeredness and thoughtlessness. Then it's about their environment and not about the

vows and the beauty of having people who care about you and care about your vows there. They can

always go to Mexico on their honeymoon. This is obnoxious telling people they can save up for a year.

If I were her mother, I would have gotten in her face and said, how dare you?

There's a recession, there are problems, people have personal things, health things,

and you want them to focus a year of their lives on you.

I didn't raise you that way.

That's what I would have said.

But you know me.
