Summary

Destination D23 took place at Walt Disney World September 8-10, 2023. At the event, we learned more information about what Disney fans can expect from the Disney Parks (announcements and updates were shared for Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Tokyo Disneyland, Hong Kong Disneyland, Shanghai Disneyland, Disneyland Paris and Disney Cruise Line), Walt Disney Animation Studios, Marvel, Star Wars, and beyond. We also learned about upcoming D23 events, including updates to the D23 Expo, which will be called D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in 2024. Destination D23 2023 offered so many incredible surprises for Disney fans in attendance and at home. In this episode, I'm joined by Serena from Living By Disney to recap what we learned and what we're most looking forward to from this year's event announcements and Disney news. 0:33.9	I'm your host, Matthew Krull, and in today's episode, we are going to recap everything that we learned, what we saw and heard at Destination D23 in Walt Disney World earlier this month.
0:46.3	It's one of my favorite events and one of my favorite times of year when Disney fans get together at a D23 event, whether it's Destination D23 in Orlando or the D23
0:57.8	Expo in Anaheim, although that's going to be changing next year, and we'll talk a little bit
1:02.3	about that in this episode. But it's always a great opportunity to come together and celebrate
1:07.4	our Disney fandom and hear a little bit more about what we can expect, including
1:12.2	usually some surprises in the years ahead, whether those are announcements from the Disney
1:18.2	Parks or the Disney films and beyond.
1:22.0	Plus, if you are attending in person, there's always a lot more that Disney shares, and I personally
1:27.1	love even those smaller panels where
1:29.3	we get to hear from select Imagineers, animators, and other talented individuals as they share
1:36.5	some stories and unveil a little bit more detail about some of the projects that are
1:40.9	currently being developed or some previous projects that we have come to
1:45.6	adore as Disney fans. In this episode, of course, we're going to recap what we learned,
1:50.8	and I do want to give a special thank you out to the Disney team and to D23 for inviting me
1:58.0	to attend this event as part of the media. For me personally, it really was
2:03.8	a dream come true, incredibly humbling, and has inspired me to continue to work as hard as
