0:23.7	top news in 10. Over the weekend, the central Texas region experienced a serious amount of
0:34.2	flash flooding along the Guadalupe River. As of the evening of July 6th, the death toll
0:39.8	had reached to at least 80 across Central Texas. A significant number of these deaths, including at
0:45.7	least 28 children, occurred in Care County. One of the particular sites of devastation was
0:51.5	Camp Mistic and all girls summer camp on the Guadalupe River,
0:56.0	with at least 11 campers and one counselor still missing.
0:59.5	So far there have been over 850 people rescued, including 520 of those by the Texas National Guard,
1:07.5	including 361 air evacuations by UH60 Blackhawks and 159 rescues with ground assets.
1:15.5	Other aid teams and rescue efforts, both official and unofficial, have also shown incredible
1:21.0	acts of heroism.
1:22.2	According to Secretary Christie Noem of Homeland Security, the United States Coast Guard
1:26.7	rescue swimmer and petty officer
1:28.5	Scott Ruskin directly saved and astonishing 165 victims in the devastating flooding in central Texas.
1:36.8	This was the first rescue mission of his career, and he was the only triage coordinator at the scene.
1:42.7	One of these incredible heroes was Camp Mystics Dick Eastland, the founder of the camp,
1:47.6	who gave his life in an attempt to save over 70 of the campers.
