Desperation. Nothing personal word of the day for Wednesday. November 17th, 2021 is desperation.

This is the type of year where I love using that word. You've heard me use it. I've used it on Twitter.

I use it during the show. Desperation is such a sad word because does anything good ever come when

you're desperate? That's when bad decisions are made. That's when you convince yourself that something

is right when it's wrong. That's when you're making a move in baseball or in any sport when you are

an owner, president, or GM, and you talk yourself into it. I can't tell you the number of times I would

talk myself into a move. We got to get this guy. We got to get this picture. What's another year?

We need to catch or give him a third year. It's going to be fine. Desperation is what Arty Moreno

is. He embodies desperation. He is the owner of the Anaheim Angels. He's 75 years old. Here is

the qualities of desperation. Let's break it down. You can be desperate when you're in elementary

school, right? You're desperate to not be bullied or you're desperate to be included. Your desperate

is you get into middle school to somehow be cool, to be in the cool group, or to somehow your

desperate to maybe be comfortable in your own skin, but that's hard for middle schoolers. You get

to high school. God, I'm desperate to be on the football team or I'm desperate to make the play,
