Father, I ask now for questions that are most helpful to be asked, you know the ones that people need practical help with or theological help with or whatever.

And I pray then that a gift of wisdom and care and biblical faithfulness and pastoral

sensitivity and discernment and far-seeing vision and prophetic insight would be granted to me so that the things that come

out of my mouth would be a fountain of life and not a hindrance to people's joy or your glory.

So come and take these next 45 minutes

and make something really, really good happen

that caps off where we've been in the most helpful way for your namesake and for

our good.

All right and here's our first question asker.

Good morning.

My question is more of a pastoral one than a theological one.

Believing what you've said is true and that's what the Bible teaches. What do I do when I can count all things lost

compared to the surpassing value of knowing Jesus Christ except for my relationship

with my child.

And though I can think in my head that God is more delightful and valuable,

just in my heart and in my emotions, I delighted my son.

And I don't know how to let God supersede that. There are two questions that I hear in that and they're different and related and both are very, very good questions.
