Summary

Today we talk about the master or primary bathroom and the tricks we have learned over the years designing this space for respite and comfort. Are you a baither or do you prefer a shower? A lesson we have learned the hard was is to be sure you take the time to sit in your tub before you install it to make sure it is a good match for your body and lifestyle. If you are the kind of person who likes a shower, be sure you are measuring for your shower heads and body sprayers so they hit in all the right spots. Something we are doing a lot of work on is shower rooms that contain both a shower and a bathtub for those who like to enjoy both. We discuss the vanity and emphasize storage space for your various beauty products and toiletries. We are also fans of getting a mirror that fills the whole space from the countertop to the ceiling will make your space feel twice as big. https://manage.kmail-lists.com/subscriptions/subscribe?a=HZENWY&g=PFcqV5 " What type of bathtub material should you get? 5:41 The one thing we recommend you keep 9:12 Showers 9:53 Shower rooms 17:09 Vanity 23:35 Lighting 33:34 Toilets 37:37 “If you’re building today, or even if you want to do this as a remodel or an add-on today in your home, toilet’s have come such a far way and I know that it seems extra, but once you’ve had a great toilet that completely washes all the undercarriage and has all the bells and whistles, you could never possibly go back to having a normal toilet again.” 37:43 https://www.instagram.com/alicelaneinteriors/ https://www.instagram.com/alicelanehome/ https://alicelanehome.com/ https://www.facebook.com/AliceLaneHome https://www.pinterest.com/alicelanehome/ https://www.youtube.com/alicelanehomecollectionsaltlakecity News Letter: https://manage.kmail-lists.com/subscriptions/subscribe?a=HZENWY&g=PFcqV5 Learn more about your ad choices. 0:46.1

Self-love or I don't know your face mask your nightly ritual I think it's starting end the day. Yeah it's a super important space and I think it affects the way that you feel about

0:57.6

yourself and your routine and your life you know it's that moment you get alone where your kids are already in

1:05.1

bed and they're not banging down your doors, you know. So I think this space is

1:10.0

a really good one and we want to talk about things that we do to really get it right.

1:15.0

I think we want to start off to just by saying if whether you're in a small home with a small

1:21.6

master bath or whether you're building a new one or you need a

1:24.7

remodel yours because it's feeling dated. You can make luxurious choices in any

1:30.0

scale of bathroom that you're currently in and it will totally benefit your life

1:34.7

people like truly truly and so that's what we want to talk about today is just like

1:38.9

from the beginning to the end how to live more beautifully in that master bath so it's its absolute most.

1:44.7

Yeah no matter the size of it. Not at the size of it. Yeah and high-five if you have a small one because it's not

1:49.3

gonna cost you as much. Exactly I was just gonna say that. I always I'm always thinking of that when I was

1:54.3

choosing the tile from our powder bath I was like doesn't matter what tile we

1:58.0

choose because it's going to hardly be a president. Only like three of them.

2:01.1

Yeah exactly. Yeah, totally. So you can go hug wild and just go for it if you have a small one. That's great.

2:08.8

Should we start out by talking about if you're a bath taker or a shower taker?

2:13.1

Yes, this kind of goes back when we're planning bathrooms.
