Summary

Derive Systems is a technology company that connects vehicles and their engines to the digital world, enabling people to better control and optimize the way vehicles behave.
Derive software powers a unique ability to write directly to the engine & other vehicle control systems, allowing vehicles to automatically adjust based on individual requirements and preferences. We built the software platform to allow seamless integration with third party software and data sources that opens the door for enhanced functionality.
The benefits users derive from this control are substantial – from improving fuel efficiency, to increasing power for towing, to setting a speed cap for teenage drivers – and only touch the surface of the future potential. With over two million vehicles already running Derive software, we deliver the confidence of a trusted solution and the power to unlock the potential of the connected engine.

every automotive experience and really take what is coming off of the

1:29.3

production line from an OEM that's kind of a one-size-fits-all hat and creating something

1:34.3

that's much more bespoke and tailored for the end user, whether that's, again, an enterprise

1:39.3

fleet or individual enthusiast or the parent of a teenage driver. Wow. So it's like a not a smart car, but it's a car that you can interact with in several different ways.

1:51.0

Yeah, so probably the best example I can give is that for many of the Ford Mustangs, as well as Ford F-150 and Mazda MX6 and a Ford Transit van and a Ford Taurus, they actually have the exact same engine in those vehicles, but the experience of one being a sports car versus one being a truck versus one being a family sedan, that's all being controlled by the software

2:17.9

that's running on the vehicle's computer. And what we do is we allow for changes to that software

2:25.7

in order to personalize for the end needs of the customer. So it's a most optimized experience
